Accreditation guidelines for journalists

As trade fair organizers, we want to make it easier for journalists to access information about our events and our company by means of accreditation. Accreditation is granted exclusively for the purpose of media reporting.

Media accreditation can be obtained by:

Persons from Germany or abroad who can provide evidence of their journalistic (including photo-journalistic) or editorial activities (related to the respective trade fair topic) as follows:

•   a. by submitting articles or contributions (print, online, TV, radio) on the trade fair topic that are no older than six months at the time of the event,

•   b. by submitting an imprint in which they are named as editors, permanent editorial staff, or authors, and which is not older than three months at the time of the event,

•   c. by submitting an original written commissioning from a full editorial office relating to the current trade fair,

 •    d. by presenting proof, no more than six months old, that they work for school or university newspapers, or by presenting a valid ID card from a youth press organization.

 •    e. Holders of a valid national press card (https://www.presserat.de/presseausweis.html) or a press card from a foreign journalists' association.

We would like to point out that the presentation of a press card is generally not the sole basis for accreditation. The trade fair organizer reserves the right to request further evidence of journalistic activity in accordance with points a–e.

Proof of identity should be provided in German or English. The trade fair organizer reserves the right to additionally request the presentation of a valid photo ID. There is no entitlement to accreditation. If necessary, the trade fair organizer will exercise its domiciliary rights.

The following groups of people will not be accredited:

• Persons without journalistic credentials, such as customer service representatives, sales managers, advertising managers, webmasters, employees of corporate blogs or corporate websites, PR consultants, product testers, and private companions.

• Germans residing in Germany who present a foreign press card.

 • Persons who present a written assignment from a freelance journalist.

 • Persons who are active on social networks exclusively in a private capacity.

 •    Persons who wish to use trade fairs solely for acquisition purposes for their own fee-based radio, TV, image, or online productions.

Accreditation guidelines for content creators

As trade fair organizers, we want to make it easier for content creators to access information about our events and our company by means of accreditation. Accreditation is granted exclusively for the purpose of reporting.

Accreditation for content creators can be obtained by: Individuals from Germany or abroad who can prove their activity as follows:

  • The social media channel, podcast, blog, or streaming platform has a thematic connection to the trade fair, has been in existence for at least six months, has regular entries, and has an appropriate reach. The reach must be proven by key figures such as page impressions, unique visitors, or length of stay.
  • The person to be accredited can be verified in this medium with an online link, either by being named in the imprint or by name contributions. The contributions must be verifiably written personally with a thematic connection to the trade fair.

A limited number of persons will be accredited per channel or platform. In individual cases, the organizers may impose further restrictions. The trade fair organizer reserves the right to request further evidence to verify the activity.

Advance accreditation is required due to the increased verification effort involved.

Proof of identity should be provided in German or English. The trade fair organizer reserves the right to additionally request the presentation of a valid photo ID. There is no entitlement to accreditation. If necessary, the trade fair organizer will exercise its domiciliary rights.

The following groups of people will not be accredited:

  • People without appropriate authorization, such as webmasters, employees of corporate blogs or corporate websites, product testers, and private companions.
  • People who are exclusively active on social networks in a private capacity.
  • Persons who wish to use trade fairs solely for acquisition purposes for their own fee-based image or online productions.
